Cuban Panart 78 rpm Record Septeto Favorito Cuba Vintage 1948
This is a wonderful vintage 78 rpm record featuring the Septeto Favorito performing Don Ramon on the A side and La Cachimba de San Juan on the B side. The record was released on the Cuban Panart label as number 1165 in 1948.
This record is visually graded a strong VG+ as there are only light scuffs on the record - the grooves appear to be all intact, the record has good gloss and my understanding is that 78 rpm shellac records are much more forgiving of defects like scuffs than vinyl. I do not have a 78 player, so haven’t listened, however, I’ve cleaned the record with the Disc Doctor’s Miracle Record Cleaner. I’m sure that the record will sound very good - it’s quite difficult to find Panart records of this era, so any small defects should be tolerated.

The reason for this is that package sizes and weights are estimates only as we cannot fully package items before they are sold. Please e-mail us for a shipping quote or wait until after the auction for a precise shipping cost. Our auctions end on Sunday evening, so I will be in touch with the correct invoice on Sunday evening or by the latest Monday morning, after we have had the chance to carefully package your item.
I am now shipping to my US clients through USPS services. I am located in Canada but I now have a carrier service to bring my parcels directly across the border on Wednesdays to be shipped out of the USPS postal outlet in Champlain, N.Y. In addition to the actual shipping cost, I do charge a $3.00 handling fee to help offset the cost of this special US service and new packaging for this piece. Please note that even with the handling fee that it is less expensive and is a quicker service than using Canada Post.
Because eBay is now requiring TRS sellers to process within 24 hours, I would require your Paypal payment by Monday at 5:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time.
PLEASE NOTE: For items which sell over $200.00, I must ship to my U.S. clients using Canada Post, this is due to customs regulations.
To my Canadian clients, I use Canada Post for shipping, as I am based in Canada - legally, I am not permitted to ship to you through the US, so do not rely on the US shipping calculator for costs.
To my International clients I can ship by either Canada Post or by USPS (in order to use USPS for intl. clients - the items must sell for under $200.00).
