By the time of Cuby & The Blizzards' first LP Desolation (1966), the Dutch group were already sliding toward a straighter Blues outlook than had been explored on their more R&B/Pop-flavored early singles. This album is nothing less than a milestone in Dutch Pop history, being the first true Blues album from the lowlands.
