Description
This is a sale for the following LP vinyl record:
Artist: Curtis Fuller
Title: The Opener
Year: 1957
Cat #Blue Note BLP 1567 (Mono)
Vinyl Condition: Side One: VG Side Two: Good/VG
Cover Condition: Good
Comments:
Vinyl has sleeve wear, light scuffs on side one. Side one plays through great with light noise at low volume passages, there is one smallish scratch that can barely be felt by the fingernail on the first track. This scratch does cause two light "pops". Label on side one looks great, with some spindle wear. Side two has a couple small scratches and very small marks that can be felt with the fingernail on the first track. The first track "Here's To My Lady" has many "pops" and "clicks". The first track, track as well as the whole side play through without skips. The rest of side two plays great, with just light scuff marks. The grading on side two had to be downgraded due to the blemishes on the first track. Labels on side two look great, with spindle wear. BOTH SIDES PLAY WITHOUT SKIPS. RVG and EAR mark in dead wax.
The cover has large seam split across the top. This split goes half the length of the cover. Bottom seam is intact, but with heavy wear. The spine is in goood condition, with some "chipping". There are old tape marks on the back, as can be seen in the photo. The middle tape mark wraps around to the front. There is a date "10/8/61" on the top left corner. Also a name written in pen on the top/center. There is tearing at the bottom that also wraps around to the front, as seen in photo. Light rub wear to both front and back. Not a pretty cover overall...but still original. Record is housed in replacement, poly-lined sleeve.
All records are shipped in heavy corrugated record mailers.
My $4 shipping price is for the Con. US. Only. Canadian bidders pay $7, please contact me for invoice. All other destinations will be a flat rate of $18.50.

**** NOTE TO BUYERS****
I use the Goldmine record grading system, which is detailed below. Cover's and vinyl are graded separately and may not fall into the same category. If you would like more info about a particular title, please ask. I check Ebay often and will try to get back to you promptly.
M (MINT) - Album is brand new, sealed, and unplayed.
NM (NEAR MINT) - Vinyl looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap. LP cover may have some light rub marks.
VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) - Vinyl may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned corners, or a slight seam split. Also may have slight signs of wear also may be marred by a cut out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at discount.
VG (VERY GOOD) - Vinyl has light wear, scratches or scuffs. Covers may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached, or small seam splits.
G (GOOD) - Vinyl has moderate, ever wear throughout, but still playable. Surface noise and scratches. A cover or sleeve will has large seam splits. especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the cover.
P (POOR) - Lowest Grade. Audible scratches, etc. on more than half the tracks. Listening uncomfortable. The sleeve is water damages, split on all three seams or heavily marred by wear and writing.
