Description

Blue Note Records BLP-1567 - Curtis Fuller - The Opener LP released in 1957. This is an original first pressing with a deep groove under the label on both sides (see scans). RVG and the ear symbol are stamped inthe dead wax. The address on the label is 47 West 63rd NYC. There is no registered symbol under the E in Blue Note on the label. The condition of the record is VG, there are some pops and ticks during playback, no skips. The surface noise is not overwhelming and the play grade is VG+. The cover, which has writing on the back, is in VG+ condition. front cover laminate is intact, shiny, beautiful. There is a 2 inch crack in the middle of the bottom seam; spine and top seam are unbroken. The address on the back cover is 47 West 63rd St., New York 23. Personnel is C.F., trombone; Hank Mobley, tenor sax; Bobby Timmons, piano; Paul Chambers, bass; Art Taylor, drums.
