Description
Original pressing from 1979 of Cut by The Slits.
In the late seventies I was an art-school punk and a massive fan of The Slits, so of course I bought this album the week it came out - it may even have been the day it came out. Stone cold classic then, stone cold classic now!
Both record and sleeve are in excellent condition - no scratches to the vinyl, and no rips, splits, or anything of that nature to the sleeve. Please note that there is no illustrated inner sleeve.
It was around this time that I started the practice of buying an album, getting it home, and taping it onto cassette, thereafter playing it only it on rare occasions. I can't remember exactly whether that procedure was in place when I bought this album, but if not it certainly came into play not long after. So this record hasn't actually seen a turntable and needle all that many times in its existence. I haven't had a working record player since 1989, so it certainly is due for another spin. (I'm not still playing the cassette by the way, I do have a CD player!)
