VOID RECORDS PRESENTS
DAISY CHAIN "Straight or Lame" (U.S.Private) 1967 MONO Female vocal flower/pop. Basically just light weight fluff, but there seems to be something that is way cool about this album, that is difficult to put into words. It is utterly unpretentious, with a lot of feeling put into the song writing. There apparently were no stereo covers of this album printed, or at least no known ones. All known stereo copies came in mono covers. The album was most likely recorded in mono any way, so chances are the stereo version might represent the second half of the album's title. At its best it is right there with a Strawberry Alarm Clock sound..the track "Zzotto" is an excellent example. Rosemary Lane [Rosemary Butler] (vocals, guitar, bass guitar), Shel Le (vocals, guitar), Dee Dee Lea (vocals, flute, harmonica, percussion), Camille (vocals, piano, organ)
