THE DAISY CHAIN
"Straight Or Lame"
RARE! On the independent United International label, LPM-13001, MONO pressing, out-there girl-group psych, strange LP. We tend to get the creeps listening to this! Apparently played straight but what an effect it leaves...
This is wierd, the vocals SEEM to be right but in reality they're all discordant, slightly off (intentionally?) and are really pretty creepy after a while. The instrumentation is typical of 60's & early 70's psych films like 'The Trip' etc.
The girls - Rosemary Jane, Camille, Shel Le, Dee Dee Lea, play all their own instruments (apparently?), with guitars, bass, drums, organ, the occassional fuzztone, & sometimes horns and/or flute added, with 4 Chelsea-girl-meets-the-Manson-family cuties singing, but here's how we've decided to categorize this gem musically:
"The Shaggs learn to sing and meet the Peanut Butter Conspiracy and The Field Hippies in Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls, on mescaline."

The top seam has 11" split and the bottom right has 3" seam split. There is very light partial wear ring and 2 small spots in extreme corners (1 front, 1 back) where a sticker or piece of tape has been removed have been re-pinked with marker. (This is minor)
Grading purely from the appearance of the cover I'd call it a nice VG+.
The LP is NEAR MINT.
