DESCRIPTION

A really different proposal in a more Eastern Greek folk psychedelic sound based on the tunes coming from Northern Greece as well as from Asia Minor (the land where Rebetico music came out in the early days of the century). Chronis Aidonidis uses traditional local instruments, more of them unknown which were found hidden in the places, forgotten in the villages. Ross Daly the well known Irish composer with lots of influences of the oriental sounds (resided in Crete in the mid 70's), gives his fruitful experience and his talent so as to revitalize the old tunes in our modern sound without remitting their origin. George Dalaras the famous Greek singer who really knows how Rebetiko music sounds like gives his best of his soul in this unique work of Aidonidis.
