Jazz und Blues sind Trumpf auf dem aktuellen DALI Album des dänischen Trios GinmanBlachmanDahl, das exklusiv über DALI als CD, LP und hochauflösender Download angeboten wird.
GinmanBlachmanDahl ist ein außergewöhnliches Trio der skandinavischen Jazzszene. Zur Gruppe gehören mit Lennart Ginman (Bass), Thomas Blachman (Drums) und Carsten Dahl (Piano) drei der bedeutendsten Musikerpersönlichkeiten Dänemarks. Das Trio war die erste dänische Band, deren Alben von der legendären Plattenfirma Verve Records veröffentlicht wurden.
Das in Zusammenarbeit mit DALI produzierte Album setzt die audiophile Reihe der DALI Tonträger fort, mit denen DALI Musikliebhabern ein besonderes, hochqualitatives, dynamisches und natürliches Klangerlebnis bieten möchten - aus Respekt und Bewunderung für die Musik, die Künstler und dem Publikum.
Zum ersten Mal hat DALI mit GinmanBlachmanDahl zusammengearbeitet, als sie die großartige Improvisation "8 Bars on the Way Home" für die DALI CD 5 beisteuerten. Seinerzeit staunte DALI über ihr individuelles Können und ihre gemeinsame Musikalität, jetzt war DALI begeistert, als sie die Einladung zur Produktion eines ganzen Albums annahmen.
Im Studio positionierte sich das Trio nahe beieinander, um den visuellen Kontakt aufrechterhalten zu können. Diese Anordnung schuf einen einzigartigen, intimen Raum, in dem die Musik in einzigartigen Improvisationen von Instrument zu Instrument hin- und herfloss.
Während der fünftägigen Aufnahmen wurden mehr als 45 Titel eingespielt, was es zu einer Herausforderung machte, am Ende genau die richtigen Tracks für dieses Album auszuwählen.
Thomas Vang hat das Album in den Village Studios in Kopenhagen aufgenommen und gemischt. Das Mastering für Vinyl, CD und hochauflösenden Download übernahm Björn Engelman im Stockholmer "The Cutting Room".
Das Album umfasst eine spannende Mischung von Jazz-Evergreens bekannter Künstler wie Cole Porter oder Miles Davis und Eigenkompositionen des Trios.

In collaboration with DALI, the acknowledged Danish jazz trio GinmanBlachmanDahl has released their third record The Velvet Blues, which has already received its first "6 star" review in music magazine Gaffa. Available on LP, CD and download.
GinmanBlachmanDahl is an exceptional trio on the Scandinavian jazz scene and were the first Danish group ever released by legendary Verve Records. "The Velvet Blues" is the trio's third release - and their first in collaboration with DALI.
The trio consists of three significant musical personalities and leading figures on the Danish music scene: Lennart Ginmann, Thomas Blachman & Carsten Dahl.
