Description
Original owner downsizing my 50+ year collection. The particular record was one of two I bought from a retiring jukebox operator and his wife who ran a record store in their garage in a small Ohio town. They had some New Old Stock records they only let certain customers see. I had bought a couple jukeboxes from them. One of the copies I saved back, this one, and play the other one on my jukebox.
This copy is as close to a NM- as I will grade a record I've played. I tested both sides and didn't hear or see anything that would cause any issues.
In spite of the jukebox title strip, this was brand new when I bought it and never placed or played on a jukebox.
This is an exceptional single,
The Damnation of Adam Blessing:
A. Back To The River 3:09 B. Driver 3:25
I forgot how bad-ass this band was, pure psych/rock/garage, everything the early 70's was all about in the rock music world. "Back to the River" was the yop 40 charting hit, but don't ignore the guitar goin' on the "B" side, "Driver".
The United Artists Records sleeve is original to the record and shows the record imprint as well as some fraying across the top opening, but no tears, writing or seam splits.
The record will be shipped in a new generic white sleeve along side the original sleeve in a plastic slipcover in a cardboard record mailer with added cardboard support inside.
