Description

Up for auction is a UK copy of The Damned’s New Rose, backed with Help, released in 1976 on Stiff Records, cat no BUY 6. This is a first pressing, with push out centre and thin Delga sleeve. It’s difficult to overstate the importance of this record, and it still sounds absolutely incendiary. Condition: some minor marks on each side, really only visible under powerful light; both labels are mark-free. Sleeve has some wear along the open edge (less along either side edge), and a 1” mark from where a sticker has been removed. No writing etc. Call it VG/VG+ (sleeve/vinyl). A chance to get a rare & vital record at a low price. My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings.
