Description
Up for auction is a copy of New Rose b/w Help by The Damned, released in 1976 on Stiff Records, cat no BUY 6. The first vinyl evidence of the UK punk scene, this record’s importance can’t be overstated. First pressing (second run with Rock Music/Street Music publishing credit), push out centre.
Condition: a little minor fogging to the b-side, plus maybe a half-cm hairline crack producing a cyclical click for maybe the first 20 seconds or so, but it’s a loud record, so is drowned out pretty quickly. Super-clean labels. Sleeve has a couple of small tears along the top seam & a knife-edge split along the left seam, but it otherwise in great condition. Probably VG all round.
