Carl Lee Perkins (April 9, 1932 - January 19, 1998) was an American singer-songwriter who recorded most notably at the Sun Studio, in Memphis, beginning in 1954. Amongst his best-known songs are 'Blue Suede Shoes', 'Matchbox' and 'Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby'. According to Charlie Daniels, "Carl Perkins' songs personified the rockabilly era, and Carl Perkins' sound personifies the rockabilly sound more so than anybody involved in it, because he never changed." His songs were recorded by artists (and friends) as influential as Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash and Eric Clapton. Paul McCartney claimed that "if there were no Carl Perkins, there would be no Beatles".

Released in 2015. USA pressing. RSD Black Friday release. Limited to 1500 copies worldwide. Translucent blue vinyl.

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: excellent (has one or two very light superficial marks that can only be seen under bright light that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, skips or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: excellent (has one or two very light superficial marks that can only be seen under bright light that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, skips or clicks and minimal crackle).
Cover (matt): excellent (light corner bash top left, couple of edge creases, a few small indent marks).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy on return of the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
