Description

ARTIST AND ISSUE DETAILS: Here's a beautifully clean example of one of the extremely rare linear speed 'World Records' produced in England by Noel Pemberton-Billings in the early 1920s. They are almost unique in the sense that the speed is linear, i.e. as it gets closer to the middle it slows down. Thus extended performances are permitted. This is no. 129 featuring on one side the Savoy Havana Band (here masquerading as 'The Moonlight Follies') playing 'Dearie If You Knew' and 'Confidence'. The reverse has The Military Dance Band playing 'Cotton Land', 'That Naughty Waltz' and 'J'En Ai Marre'. Condition is a gorgeous E+ with a small needle gouge side 1 that passes through with light ticks.!
