THIS 7" AVENUE DISC AVE 55 IS GUARANTEED NEVER TO HAVE BEEN PLACED ON A TURNTABLE AND IS OBVIOUSLY IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  ALL OF MY AVENUE DISCS HAVE BEEN STORED IN A SMOKE FREE ENVIRONMENT SINCE THE YEAR OF MANUFACTURE.
IMPORTANT NOTE TO COLLECTORS:  You will see that the Record Label has a white sticker bearing the number 33 - this was fixed to approximately 75 AVENUE 54/55s because the label printers decided the disc should be played at 45 r.p.m.!!  Very few of AVE 54s and AVE 55s bearing this typographical error escaped from the AVENUE offices in CHINGFORD, LONDON.  One of the independent distributors of the time RICH-A-DISC who were still servicing the old DISC-A-FRAN racking distribution network managed to coerce a young secretary at AVENUE to laboriously type the figure '33' on small white self-adhesive labels to cover the glaring mistake.  I know because she typed them for me!!!!!   The remaining pressings of AVE 54 and AVE 55 were subsequently scrapped and re-pressed within 5 days bearing the correct speed of  33 1/3 r.p.m.
