DINHA MANTHA’S POWER LP by DANIEL JANIN featuring NANCY HOLLOWAY. OUT OF PRINT LP REISSUE from the early 2000’s of a FRENCH LIBRARY RECORD originally issued on 1974 on PSI. First of all I must say that this reissue is nowadays AS HARD TO FIND AS THE ORIGINAL PRESSING. Second of all, its REALLY GOOD. Fans of the JANIN & HOLLOWAY collaboration “HURT SO BAD” must checkout the opening track SAND AND RAIN: a KILLER HEAD-NOD OPEN BREAK evolving to an AMAZING SOULFUL JAZZ SONG. I remember this track being sampled by DJ VADIM on a joint he did with SARAH JONES for NINJA TUNE back in the day. Its all instrumental from there and you can expect MASSIVE ORCHESTRAL JAZZ FUNK with FAT DRUMS and DRUM BREAKS, TIGHT HORNS, WAH WAH GUITAR, PSYCH FLUTE and DEEP SOLOS. GROOVIER than his POST-COMBUSTION LP on the same label and MORE SOLID than his work for LES TRETEAUX. A fine addition to the collections of BEATHEADS and LIBRARY FANS. RARE LP.

Vinyl is in NM condition. Sleeve is in VG+ condition (there´s some damage to the back cover near the top seam).
