various -- A Texas Trip LP

Original 1987 US release on Caroline/Latino Bugger Veil Records (catalog # CAROL 1339), with custom innersleeve with Gibby Haynes' notes for each track and his drawings.

Scarce compilation put together by the Butthole Surfers, all tracks are exclusive to this LP. The Daniel Johnston tracks are not available anywhere else, they are radically different versions of two of his best songs, "Don't Play Cards With Satan" and "Grievances", recorded with the Buttholes as backing band.

"Flame Grape" is one of the most intense songs the Butthole Surfers ever recorded. It would eventually morph into "Jimi", here it's in its raw inchoate beauty.

The Stickmen With Rayguns tracks are heavy and nasty noise-punk featuring Texas Punk legend Bobby Soxxx.

All records are packaged securely, protected by both stiff and cushion packaging, with vinyl (in original innersleeve) removed from cover and placed safely in poly sleeve to help prevent seam splitting during transit.
