1952’s “Hans Christian Andersen” with Danny Kaye as the legendary storyteller was a massive hit with a beautiful Frank Loesser score and a charming story guaranteed to endear Kaye to millions for years and years to come. We are pleased to offer the original 10” Decca label LP album in Very Good (VG) condition with an extraordinary bonus -- Kaye’s own signature! This rarity comes from the collection of a Kaye fan who’s realized it’s time to down-size and his loss is your gain! PLEASE NOTE: Kaye did NOT sign this album at the time of the record’s release, but almost twenty years later when he was starring on Broadway in the Richard Rodgers musical, “Two By Two.” Kaye signed it at the Artists Entrance of his theater for a young fan. He was notoriously reluctant to sign autographs for adults, but he could never say no to children. After all, he was once the U.N. Ambassador for Children and flew all over the world to raise funds and awareness for them.
