- Vinyl Grade A & B: VG+ play grade *Side A plays great with some light circumferential wear near track end and minimal noise disturbances; condition of labels are as seen in photos
GRADING STANDARDS:
- Mint (M): A Mint record or cover must both be absolutely perfect in every way. For this reason the grade is seldom if ever used.
- Near Mint (NM): A nearly perfect record or cover that shows no obvious signs of wear or defects.
- Excellent (EX): Record or cover shows only slight wear. Playing surfaces still retain much of their original shine and record plays with minimal surface noise.
- Very Good Plus (VG+): Record or cover is somewhat more worn than an Excellent record. Wear is moderate, but playing is generally free from distortion and surface noise not overly pronounced. Covers may also have slight signs of wear.
- Very Good (VG): Many of the defects listed for a VG+ record or cover will be more pronounced on a VG grade. Surface noise and scratches are audible and more intrusive, but do not overwhelm the music.
- Good (G): A record in good condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without any repeating "skips", although it will have more severe audible surface noise and scratches than a VG record. Covers will also have more pronounced defects than a VG cover.
- Fair (F) and Poor (P): Record is quite seriously worn and scratched creating excessive noise disturbances. Although music is still audible, listening is now uncomfortable. Covers will have numerous defects that overwhelm the object. Only the rarest records would be saleable in these grades, and are infrequently used.
