Description

Artist/Group:  DARTMOUTH INDIAN CHIEFS

                                     

Title:   “Chiefly Jazz: The Dartmouth Indian Chiefs recorded at Kresge Auditorium, M.I.T., March 23, 1957”

 

Label:   TRANSITION.  Monaural pressing on medium thick styrene with flat edge.  Both labels are intact.  Labels are flat black with gold text.  Catalog number is trlp 23. 

 

Year:  1957.

Condition: 

 

DISC:  Playing surfaces are nice VG++ with full original gloss.  Has been played a small number of times and handled with care.  There are a couple slight hairline paper scuffs but no serious marks or problems.  Plays beautifully with superb fidelity.  Labels are clean.  This hard-to-find LP is one that you will never need to upgrade.  

 

JACKET:   Jacket is VG+ with obvious signs of wear and handling, but still quite presentable.   Front artwork is reasonably clean, with a bit of minor surface wear and light soiling in evidence.   A portion of both the top and bottom seams are taped with non-glossy clear cellophane tape, (3 inches at the top, and 8 inches at bottom).  Spine is intact, but there is a noticeable ding near the center.  Bottom left corner has a noticeable small bend/dent.

 

NOTE:  Includes original booklet with album notes in EXCELLENT condition.
