NUOVI COMPLESSI D'AVANGUARDIA DA RADIO MONTECARLO Lp by VALERO VALERISCE GROUP / LE MACCHINE PER SOGNARE / LE MUMMIE / I TIBU / GLI ASPIDI / I CLIFFTERS / DELIRUM / LA QUINTA FACCIA / JIMMY M.E.C. Original Italian pressing on the FONIT CETRA label (LPQ 09060) from 1971. Cult and desirable item featuring some really obscure Italian psych / beat and prog groups. Music originally showcased over the airwaves of the influential Radio Montecarlo and the only way to get Valerio Valerisce Group's insanely funky drummer version of the Rimsky Korsakov classical standard IL VOLO DEL CALABRONE. Delirious, psychedelic hammond sounds with killer B-Boy drum patterns / deep funk bass and pumping organ solos. Great for DJs and seldom heard, if ever ;) The session also boasts a fresh and practically unknown Italian prog / underground rock version of the Jimi Hendrix HEY JOE smash by Le Mummie (with vocals sung in badly broken English) and funky prog / Italian library style groove over the long 2nd phase of Le Macchine Per Sognare's brilliant MI E' CASCATO ADDOSSO theme (the suite with all the cool breaks fusing hammond / basslines / psych rock guitars and gorgeous soundtrack style strings). Beat group Gli Aspidi who later became Ricordi D'Infanzia (of Io Uomo fame) are also included on this recording. Some long themes so we've edited stuff down for our soundclip. The amazing, acid trip sleeve artwork is by Greguoli who also designed a similar looking sleeve for the Osanna / Luis Enriquez Bacalov - Milano Calibro 9 soundtrack. He was most probably the designer for the Kaleidon - Free Love Lp too. Very rare Lp!!!

The heavy, thick vinyl is close to shiny M- condition with a few hairlines from sleeve removal. Light surface noises. A few soft pops. Item taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of our soundclip. The laminated, LSD trip inspired sleeve is in strong, VG++ conditon overall due to some creasing / dirt marks and one mini pen ink number '2' to back sleeve. Sharp corners and edges.
