Description
This sale is for a copy of "American Jazz Festival At Newport '56" by Dave Brubeck & The J.J. Johnson-Kai Wunding Quintet. This is from 1956 (1st pressing) on Columbia CL-932 in mono (deep-groove label with 6-eye logo). This was recorded at the American Jazz Festival at Newport, RI on july 6, 1956. Side 1 features The Dave Brubeck Quartet featuring Paul Desmond & the songs are "In Your Own Sweet Way", "Two-Part Contention", "Take The A-Train" & "I'm In A Dancing Mood". Side 2 features The J.J. Johnson-Kai Winding Quintet & the songs are "Lover Come Back To Me", "True Blue Tromboniums" & "Nwpt".
