** Rare 1966 classic folk/blues vinyl LP by DAVE VAN RONK - MONO 1st PRESSING on the original VERVE FOLKWAYS LABEL **

A Very Good+ condition disc. Some minor surface marks, and some surface marks in the vinyl from original pressing imperfections. Original MONO mixes of both sides. No visible spindle marks. No skips, jumps, sticking, warps, deep scratches, or writing on labels. Excellent clean labels on both sides. "Sold in UK subject to resale price conditions" text on both labels. "KT" tax code embossed by centre hole on Side 2 label. Very good sound quality, with very little surface noise. Tested on a Thorens turntable.

Laminated sleeve, with flipbacks to rear, in Very Good- condition. Front of sleeve in excellent condition, but some staining/age-related marks to rear (see photos). No major creasing or lamination issues (see photos). No writing anywhere. No seam splits. Spine in excellent condition, and all text still clearly legible. Sleeve "printed and made by Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd."

Supplied in original Verve/EMI company inner-sleeve with Emitex text. Some age-related staining/discolouration in places. Inner-sleeve has a 7cm seam split to one edge.

GRADING:

All records are graded using the 'Record Collector' format:

MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
