UK original 1st pressing 12" LP on the rainbow/black 'CAPITOL' label.
ST 2982. (1968). (STEREO). Front laminated flip-back sleeve.
Awesome record that is/was way ahead of the time! Defies classification.
I'm selling some of my higher-end, collectible, investment-grade vinyl LP's.
Some of it is the work of 30 years of collecting. I'll be sad to see these go - but they need re-homing for others to enjoy.

A UK 1st press issue of David Axelrod's debut LP. Filled with progressive rock, funky jazz beats, psychedelic fusion guitar, thumping bass lines, edgy violins - a real gem.
Very scarce. UK copies are very thin on the ground and I doubt you could better this copy.
Book guide prices may be off in my opinion with certain titles - this being one of them... this is a very rare item. I've had three copies over the years - this one is the best by far. One of the others I've owned appears as a past auction result on Popsike dot com.
This is not a title everybody's heard of, but when they have, it's obvious how much they have missed owning this album! One of the most genuinely rare titles I have in my collection, and it's a beauty!
Full of very innovative music - it has inspired many musicians across the genres. Axelrod recruited the very best studio musicians for this early 'fusion' project - among them Carole Kaye (bass), Howard Roberts (guitar) and Earl Palmer (drums). In this condition - EX/EX+, I would doubt that a better copy exists. I grade this harshly. Audio quality is superb! No pops or ticks to interrupt this amazing sonic journey, inspired of course by William Blake.

This example has a clean, intact, beautiful cover! This one has survived the last 50 years incredibly well. The sleeve grades EX to EX+ for sure.
The black and rainbow coloured CAPITOL labels are in lovely shape. Both labels grade a solid EX+ to Near Mint condition.
The vinyl has a very glossy lustre and it is free from any major flaws. Playback is glorious, warm and full sounding - audio and visual quality is excellent plus (EX+). Beautiful overall - no issues. Original printed paper inner sleeve showing commercial releases of the time (Also EX+)
The front laminated sleeve grades a conservative EX to EX+ on the front and back - absolutely stunning overall.
Fully brilliant, glossy lamination, crisp spine, the colour has been retained well. Some lamination cracks along the spine edge. All text is visible and there. Back of the sleeve remains free from any ring wear - a common occurrence for solid black printed sleeves. Very impressive for a 48 year old LP.
