NEWSAGENT'S DESCRIPTION
This listing is for a first-year Scranton pressing of Song of Innocence, the groundbreaking debut album by visionary composer, arranger, and producer David Axelrod, released in 1968 by Capitol Records (ST 2982).
Inspired by the poetry of William Blake, Axelrod created a remarkably ambitious work that fused jazz, rock, orchestral music, funk, and psychedelic influences into a cinematic instrumental suite unlike anything being produced at the time.
This edition was pressed at the Capitol Records Pressing Plant in Scranton and is presented in stereo on the original Capitol Records label.
