This lot contains 2 rare original lps by David Axelrod: "Song of Innocence" on Capitol Records and "Seriously Deep" on Polydor. Song of Innocence grades: Cover VG+ (some edge wear and ring wear) Record VG+. Seriously Deep grades: Cover VG (delete clip, marker and bubbling on cover, ring wear, 3 inch split bottom right edge, some splits to spine.) Record VG++ (writing on label side one; ex station copy.) Two of the best Axelrod lps in one convenient auction! I decided to list these together because Seriously Deep had a little bit of wear to the cover so it might be considered a bonus purchase with Song Of Innocence although I believe it's actually the harder to find of the two lps. As anyone who likes Axelrod knows, once you start buying his records: you need to own them all! Song of Innocence is a baroque soul jazz masterpiece that artists like DJ Shadow practically built their careers around! Seriously Deep has to be one of the greatest and most appropriate record titles of all time... this record is indeed just that... seriously.... deep! Axelrod trying his hand at fusion and coming up with some very dark magic. Just grab these! And to let you know: I've also got Axelrod's The Auction up for auction (that was fun to write!)
