DAVID BOWIE UNITED KINGDOM 1967 DERAM .
STEREO ! STEREO !! STEREO!!!
Laminated front none Laminated rear sleeve.
This is the rare one , the one your after !
Of every David Bowie LP that was ever put out to general release , this LP is by far , far and away , the rarest of the rare.
Sinse first attending record fairs in 1979 , in all those years I never saw a single copy , not one . If your lucky eBay manages to find one or two a year . Once ebay went 3 years without locating one .
The condition of the LP sleeve is VERY GOOD ++ condition ,but heres more detail . Slight wringwear front and back . No unwanted handwriting anywhere on the item . I believe there was some damage to the spine but some previous owner has done an absolutely first rate job of fixing the problem . I have tried to capture this in the pictures but its difficult to photograph . Its as if the LP has come through the spine slightly you know the way spines can wear away with use . But as I say a previous owner has fixed it brilliantly and ALL the spinal writings are fully ledgible . That is DAVID BOWIE DERAM STEREO SML1007 . It is as if the owner has had this record restored and its quite difficult to spot the repair work . It is as if the spine has been re-laminated . There is also a tiny hole in the bottom right hand corner of the back of the sleeve (VISIBLE BY DOUBLE CLICKING THE PICTURES) . This hole does not go through to the front sleeve . I have photographed this sleeve hoping to show its worst flaws but its really very , very decent indeed and if anyone wants any more pictures just ask but please in good time !
The LP itself is nothing short of PRISTEEN . Perfect in every way the Deram lables are equisite , bright and spotlessly clean on BOTH SIDES .Look at the deep groove outer ring from the spindle hole , this was British engineering at its best , to prevent forgeries ( like the anti seriation marks on the Pistols GSTQ single).They dont make heavy vinyl like this any more.
The vinyl is spotlessly clean and looks unplayed NO SCRATCHES , No Sticking , NO Crackles NOTHING , it plays perfectly . The record still has the highest lustre sheen and is totally immpeccable !
I would grade the record MINT- At its worst !
Its just lovely .
So Overall the sleeve is Very Good ++ and the Record is a very strong MINT MINUS.
