Description

Here we have 2 LPs (33rpm, 12 inch) by DAVID BOWIE, titled "HUNKY DORY" & "THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD", in Picture sleeves & with full Lyric Inners.  These are both U.S. issues on the RCA VICTOR original Orange label, both made from the thinner, more flexible DYNAFLEX vinyl. TMWSTW is the 1972 reissue of the 1970 original.

The vinyl is EXCELLENT+ (I can't see any marks unless shining a strong light on surface); all plays perfectly.

   The Picture sleeves are less good, partly because (in my opinion) American sleeves were always made of inferior card & often with poorly stuck on paper pictures which wear far worse than the British copies (ringwear especially). Some edge & corner wear + quite bad spine rubbing. The HUNKY DORY sleeve has the faint residue of a name in the top left corner (actually it's my name !!). There is also a pronounced crease across the bottom right corner front (left on reverse). One positive thing (I like) about this U.S. sleeve is that it has no Hunky Dory title on the front. Both Lyric Inners have names written on them (mine again !) & the TMWSTW has a small area of red stain (paint or, ink ?) at the very top. Otherwise they are fine. 

   Hunky Dory matrix:-  A-side APRS - 5947 - 35 - A3C    R in the dead wax.     B-side  APRS - 5948 - 35 - A2B    R in the dead wax.

  TMWSTW matrix:-  A-side BPRS  4512 2S    A2     Z in the dead wax.       B-side  BPRS 4513  2S    A2   I in the dead wax.

Original bright Orange labels with DYNAFLEX logo.

Please don't bid if you are wanting a Perfect or, Mint copies. These are very good indeed (the vinyl is particularly fine, EXCELLENT+), but not perfect.
