Originally dismissed by Bowie detractors as inferior to his earlier efforts, this 1973 masterpiece not only aged gracefully and gained in stature over the ensuing 36 years, but is now considered one of the 20-30 TOWERING GIANTS of Rock music. Visually captivating cover must be one of top-20 cover artworks of all time. Our favorite Bowie album, no doubt. Mick Ronson and Spiders from Mars shake up a storm on this one, and Bowie's version of "Let's spend the night together" puts the original Rolling Stones version to shame. (b)          The record comes in its original, custom, inner sleeve, which is UNIQUE to this album (we can actually see it through the opening)

(c)             The record is  apparently pressed on a RELATIVELY  thick, inflexible vinyl. This is NOT a thin, flimsy ('dynaflex' type),  vinyl, but not the thickest, most rigid vinyl, either.

(d)          Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER

COVER IS NEAR MINT, STILL SEALED AND COVERED IN ITS ORIGINAL ►SHRINK WRAP   (A SMALL PIECE OF SHRINK WRAP IS MISSING)

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-         Back cover has a few yellowish dust speckles scattered here and there (these tiny spots are not overly obtrusive or distracting)

-         Cover shows JUST A HINT of yellowing on both sides, apparently from aging.

-         Back cover has a razor-like line (cut) on the cover, as if someone attempted to cut away the shrink wrap with a razor, but inadvertently left the mark on the cover as well. The paper slick is intact and no part is missing, but the razor line is visible.

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No split seams

-        No ring wear

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No dirt/dust rubbing stains (friction marks caused by rubbing against other covers)

-        No wrinkles or creases

-        No writing

-        No stamps   (except for the promo stamp)

-        No tearing: no chips, dents or nicks on the seams

-        No peel-off marks

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No warping

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-        No glue traces or wax residue.

-        No bar codes

-        No RIAA stamps or stickers.
