Description
This is the extremely rare LIMITED EDITION "HEATHEN ORANGE" VINYL release of David Bowie's "Heathen" album, created exclusively for the Victoria and Albert Museum to celebrate their DAVID BOWIE IS exhibition.
This item is number 427/500.
The sticker with the number on it is attached to an outer plastic sleeve. The album cover is exactly the same as the normal "Heathen" cover. There is a picture insert, both sides of which are shown above and the vinyl is held in a plain white sleeve.
As you can see from the photographs of my own copy of this release, the vinyl is not the vivid orange shown on the V&A's website and in many inaccurate eBay listings but a marbled brown colour which is, apparently, officially known as "Heathen Orange"!
The item for sale is brand new, unopened and has never been played.

*** I contacted the V&A asking why the brown colour instead of the advertised orange. Here is an extract from their reply, " ...Many apologies for the delay in our reply and that the colour is not what we expected. It was shown originally on the website as a mock-up. We have now corrected it and it can be viewed here: http://www.vandashop.com/Heathen-David-Exclusive-Limited-Edition/dp/B00DBX5T9U .
The advice we have from Sony is that this is 'Heathen Orange' and the approved correct colour for the limited edition pressing".
