Description

Up for grabs here is an extremely rare RCA France front laminated sleeve edition of David Bowie's 1971 masterpiece Hunky Dory.This is a very early 1972 press Price Code U as indicated on the rear..These dont show up for auction very often in fact i've only seen 2 copies before!Vinyl plays great with only some very occasional isolated light static ticks.Certainly nothing to spoil the listeners enjoyment at all and i really loved playtesting this wonderful lp this morning,as indeed i play test all my vinyl..in summary a very nice sounding copy!The front laminated sleeve looks fantastic.There is a brighter more vivid greenish tint to Bowie's portrait on this edition than it's UK or indeed any other edition i've encountered.See pictures for conditions.There is some very small writing in the RCA Victor box top right on the rear on closer inspection.There are also a few dings and some edge and corner wear as you will see.This is most noticeable on the front bottom right where some laminate has been worn,but for a record of this vintage and rarity,it still looks great in my humble opinion.There is also some faint moisture staining to a section of the rear sleeve,but it's not too bad in summary.As usual any questions are welcome.I will post just about anywhere,just wait for my invoice if outside UK.Go on then and grab yourself a true Bowie rarity that doesnt turn up very often.Thanks for stopping by and happy bidding ?
