THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE ALBUMS IN THIS COLLECTION HAD BEEN HORDED OVER A PERIOD OF 30 YEARS STARTING IN THE MID-1980s AND CONTINUING UP THROUGH 2014!
TO SAY THAT THE PREVIOUS OWNER WAS OBSESSED WITH COLLECTING WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT.

EXTREMELY RARE ORIGINAL RCA VICTOR PRESSING OF THIS CLASSIC FROM 1972 - 44 YEARS AGO!! - STILL IN ITS ORIGINAL SHRINKWRAP!
ALSO INCLUDES THE STICKER ON THE FRONT AND THE POSTER INSIDE!
THE COVER IS 98% SEALED EXCEPT FOR A SMALL TEAR IN THE BOTTOM LEFT CORNER.
THERE IS SOME LIGHT DAMAGE TO 3 OF THE 4 CORNERS.
INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND WITH THE POSTER, NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND STILL SEALED!
Only the initial copies included an 18 x 20 poster with the cover image!
Even though it contained no hits, The Man Who Sold the World, for most intents and purposes, was the beginning of David Bowie's classic period. Working with guitarist Mick Ronson and producer Tony Visconti for the first time, Bowie developed a tight, twisted heavy guitar rock that appears simple on the surface but sounds more gnarled upon each listen. The mix is off-center, with the fuzz-bass dominating the compressed, razor-thin guitars and Bowie's strangled, affected voice. The sound of The Man Who Sold the World is odd, but the music itself is bizarre, with Bowie's weird, paranoid futuristic tales melded to Ronson's riffing and the band's relentless attack. Musically, there isn't much innovation on The Man Who Sold the World -- it is almost all hard blues-rock or psychedelic folk-rock -- but there's an unsettling edge to the band's performance, which makes the record one of Bowie's best albums.

We ship all LP's in new (unused) custom LP mailers. We pack records with filler pads, placing the disc in an inner sleeve outside the cover to prevent seam splitting in transit. Part of our postage fee covers the cost of the mailer and pads (which currently costs us up to a dollar per).

RECORD GRADING POLICY
MINT = like new or near new with only one or two small insignificant defects, a 9 or better on a 1-10 scale
EXCELLENT = Would be Near Mint, except for a couple of light hairlines or scuffs, which do not affect play
VG++ = still a very nice record with all or nearly all of its original gloss but may have a few more light, surface marks, hairlines, needle tracks or the like which should not materially affect play
VG+ = a nice, but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It probably plays with a few pops, but has no serious problems.
VG = a well-used record that still should sound OK when played, but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc.
VG- = a very well-worn record that plays through without skipping, but will do until a better copy comes along.
Good = not actually good at all but probably will play through but with much in the way of surface noise, pops, crackles, etc. Still, will have no cracks, chips or the like
Fair = you'?re getting this record just to own but not to play
Poor = the sky's the limit, generally I will discard a record this bad (and sell the cover, jacket or sleeve alone) unless the label holds some particular interest
