Description
A 1973 UK 1st Press copy of David Bowie - Pin Ups, David's album of cover versions of some of his favourite songs from artists of the day such as Pink Floyd, The Who, The Kinks and many more. An absolute classic!
Released on the RCA Victor Orange label, the matrix endings are 1T/1T indicating a 1st press copy ( see photos).
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up sparkling clean and very shiny with a few minor scuffs, paper marks and hairlines, nothing remotely feelable. Clean labels and spindle holes - graded VG+.
Playback reveals an open, detailed, warm and dynamic sound - immediate, dense and very enjoyable. David's vocals are central in the soundstage, upfront with real gravitas. A captivating listen! The vinyl plays through as it should with no jumping or sticking. Some low background noise/crackle at the start which is normal for vinyl of this vintage.
The outer sleeve is solid and sturdy overall with some creasing light wear to corners and edges. Good readable spine. There are two small tears to the opening ( see photos). No writing, stains, splits or tape.
The original insert sheet with the lyrics to Where Have All The Good Times Gone is included.
We have popped the record into a brand new poly lined inner sleeve to keep it pristine after cleaning - you will receive both.
A great playable copy, fully cleaned & tested, ready to pop straight onto your turntable and blast out!
