DAVID BOWIE 'Pin Ups' LP
RECORD - VG- SLEEVE - VG
MATRICES - A3/B3
This is an autographed "Pin Ups" Bowie LP (UK pressing A3/B3) signed in green on the front cover by Bowie and Mick Ronson, then later in the top corner by Trevor Bolder. It is graded as a VG sleeve and a VG- LP.
This was part of a small collection of 1970s LPs passed over to me as a house clearance, under instruction from a guy whose father passed away. The rest of the collection was nothing special and the condition overall was poor but of course this one stood out!
If I had a watertight story and COA this would be a lot more expensive. BUT I do know that the father worked at BBC television centre in Wood Lane, London and was a lighting guy for a number of current affairs, news and light entertainment programmes for around 12 years.
He obtained a number of autographs (not on records, people like Shirley Bassey, Morecambe and Wise etc etc) and this was the only record that he had which was autographed. I truly know nothing more than this, I know it is vague but that's why it's the price it is. Some very light detective work online makes all 3 signatures seem very promising and would urge you to do some research beforehand. This is a really lovely item worth a lot more than I'm looking for!
