** EARLY PRESSING OF UK 1972 RCA ORANGE LABEL RE-ISSUE OF CLASSIC DAVID BOWIE LP - WITH ORIGINAL LYRIC INNER SLEEVE **
AN Excellent -condition disc. Some very fine hairline marks which can be seen under a strong light, from where the record has been taken out of its sleeve over the years. No skips, jumps, warps, sticking, scuffs, deep scratches, or writing on labels. A "Dynaflex" pressing. Good sound quality throughout, with occasional minor surface noise in places. A very listenable LP. Tested on a Thorens turntable.
Sleeve is only in Good condition. Slight general wear. Some slight creasing to corners. No seam splits. Spine, however, has been damaged in places, and taped (see photos). Text on spine still mostly legible. No writing anywhere. Sleeve "printed in England by Robert Stace". Text to lower front of sleeve ("Previously released on Philips Records SBL 7912") is on one line of text - not two lines, as later issues were.
Supplied in original lyric inner sleeve, which is in Excellent condition, with no writing anywhere, and no seam splits. some slight creasing in places.
NB - This LP did not come with a poster from new - so no poster is included.
** This record will be shipped in an additional (non-original) white inner sleeve to prevent damage/seam splits in transit **
GRADING:
All records are graded using the 'Record Collector' format:
MINT (M): The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
