Description

You are bidding on David Bowie's Space Oddity vinyl LP. Very rare early 1972 UK Pressing where the "Mainman" logo does not appear on the cover or labels.

These very early pressings are highly sought after and this one also includes the rare and limited poster which was included with only the very 1st 1972 UK pressings in very limited numbers.

The sleeve itself is in very good condition with some creases due to age, but print quality and general condition of spine and seams is very good considering we are 46 years later.

The record itself has been well used and there are many marks unfortunately. It does play all the way through though without any skips and surface noise can of course be heard particularly in the quieter moments of the record. Dynamics and detail however are still excellent and this pressing far surpasses any version of this album I have heard on LP or CD.

This early 1972 1st UK pressing can be distinguished, as seen in the listing photos, by the Matrix's which are stamped on the LP runouts ending in "1E". The cover does not include the "Mainman" logo and the labels are prominent orange crediting Titanic/Chrysalis and not "Mainman" as was the case with all subsequent releases of these pressings.

The poster itself is in excellent unused condition as can be seen in the photos.
