Description
Up for auction is a beautiful, clean copy of the David Bowie album Station To Station, originally released in the U.S. on RCA Records (APL-1327) in 1976:
-Guaranteed original pressing -First pressing Tan RCA labels
-Original bright red titled cover
-Original inner sleeve -Rare first pressing Hype sticker
-Still in open factory shrink wrap -No UPC/bar code on cover -Vinyl comes in audiophile poly-lined inner sleeve
Note: These original white covers were very prone to wear and age discoloration, but this one has been beautifully preserved. Very hard to find a cover in this top condition that is not still in factory shrink--and even some of those are age discolored.
Also, this is the nicest copy of this record I've come across in 40 years of collecting, truly looks fresh as it did in 1976, a true keeper copy!
Condition: The cover is beautiful, perfectly protected by the shrink wrap. No significant signs of wear or age. No ring wear, no seam splits or wear. Corners are sharp, one tiny bump, but not rubbed. Shrink is clean, no significant wear or tears, tight. Hard to upgrade. Grade: Near Mint (NM)
Vinyl is also beautiful, still retains its original glossy shine. No obvious scratches or scuffs, just some faint superficial paper scuffs, light signs of having been taken out of paper inner sleeve a couple times. Side Two has one tiny superficial hairline that does not affect quality of playback, which is excellent. Labels are clean, no marks around spindle holes. Looks like this record has maybe been played only once. Hard to upgrade. Grade: Near Mint Minus (NM-)
Combined Shipping:
Yes, I offer significant combined shipping discounts. Just ask!
International Shipping:
Because of unreliable postal services, buyers in France and Italy must pay for Expedited international shipping, which includes tracking and insurance. I've had too many records lost or damaged shipping to these countries. Also, I do not ship to Central or South America, or China.
How I Pack Your Records:
I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
