We have compared the UK mastered first pressings with the USA Calbi Sterling pressings and the USA ones are vastly superior. Calbi extracted more life and spatial dynamics from the tapes, the UK has a metallic, refined sound whereas the USA mastering is punchier, more purposeful and dynamic - it is most likely the first generation mastered tapes were in the USA for this pressing.
