Description
Offered here is the Space Oddity LP from David Bowie (RCA , #LSP-4813). Its inner sleeve with lyrics is included here, as well as an application blank to join the David Bowie fan club. The record plays fine, although there is a small flaw like a tiny warp on the very outside edge of the disc on the side opposite the top of the label, perhaps a 1/2" in length. It doesn't show up in photos, and even eludes visual detection - only discernable by running one's finger around the edge. Its presence doesn't present any issue in playback as the lead-in groove is unaffected. Just wanted to disclose this to explain why I would grade this as VG++ instead of EX. The cardboard sleeve is VG++, only flaws being slightly rounded corners and a very minute trace of circular "record rub" for 2" on top and bottom areas. inner sleeve with lyrics looks great, no tearing on the bottom at all, EX there. The application (EX/NM) to the David Bowie Fan Club, which is shown in photos as well, depicts other Bowie albums there, most recent being Diamond Dogs and David Live, placing this LP's issue as from 1974. Interestingly, one question asks if one is already a member of the Mick Ronson Fan Club. Anyway, there you are...
