This is now rare and in some demand, a reissue replaced this cover photo in 1973..... but here's the ORIGINAL first edition of the compilation.
A cool collection of his earliest pop songs, some are super rare tracks otherwise unavailable.
David Bowie was to become a global superstar on a level with Elton John and Paul McCartney, but in his earliest years he was releasing singles with groups and solo from 1964 on.
It was before he was to sell out stadiums and make the headlines!
Decca Records had a series of lower budget lps headed 'The World Of...', and this was an obscure one as Bowie was a marginal, obscure name - his first album on Deram having sold very few copies. As soon as David hit big - they re-released this lp with a totally new cover and an updated photo of the 'spikey hair' Bowie, making this deletion an instant collector's item!
Condition:
This disc is NEAR MINT.
TOP SHINE and it plays wonderfully.
No wear evident, just as issued.
LABLES are NEAR MINT.
The LAMINATED COVER is EXCELLENT having a sticker removal mark at top right corner, one corner crease.
A decent example with only light wear.
An collectable gem in lovely condition.
