Description
Mercury ( facsimile), U.S., slightly later 70s press of 1970 lp. Hand etched scribe # in dead wax ( real copies had stamped # generally).
VG/ VG+ Small punch hole, light edge wear and re-glued corner split to about halfway across top and bottom edges. Colors crisp and vivid with hardly any wear over art. Small print layer bubbles at bottom corner on back, possibly from light water damage.
LP plays well with only some slight surface noise in dead wax and some quieter passages. I tiny mark at end of title cut generally inaudible save for a couple tiny clicks.
Bowie's legendary 1970 hard rock opus needs no introduction. though this is a totally unauthorized reissue done after bowie has re-signed to RCA, and is almost certainly remastered from another record, which is why a second of music is missing from "All The Madmen," this was part of a money and power grab in the 70s by unscrupulous powers looking to make a buck on Bowie's re-signing just as this the Mercury version went out of print. A dubious yet interesting part of rock history.
