DAVID BOWIE: UNRELEASED 1999 LIVE ALBUM,
OFFICIAL VIRGIN RECORDS PROMO
This is a phenomenally rare item, given to me by someone who was then working for The Outside
Organisation, who were handling PR for Bowie around the time of the release of “Hours”, the album
released in 1999 by Virgin Records.
It is a recordable CD of twelve live tracks housed in a plastic sleeve, with “David Bowie, Live Comp,
Tracks Seperated” hand written on the disc. Details of the tracks are printed on a card Virgin Records
sleeve insert.
There are no details of where the recordings are from, but the sleeve does reveal the tracks were
“copied 16.12.99”. However I believe they may well be from Paris, as I think three of the recordings
(“Survive”, “Thursday’s Child” and “Seven”) were released as bonus tracks on the second “Survive”
CD single. If anyone out there can shine any more light on the origins of these recordings please get in
touch and I will update the listing accordingly.
