I bought this poster DIRECT from the poster artist the great Randy Tuten

about 15 years ago.I met Randy through the Detroit photographer Leni Sinclair.

If your a music fan these are two names you really should look up.

Randy has worked with almost everyone from Elvis to Bowie ,he did the

Tumbling Dice posters for the Rolling Stones 1972 tour of the Americas, he

now has a vey good website with tons of his work on there.

I also bought a full set of handbills for Bowie`s Winterland Shows on this Halloween

weekend.

After I had paid for the poster , and the full set of handbills incidentally his very

last ones . I wanted 2 sets but he only had the one left. I had no interest in second

reprints.

I was getting on really well with Randy and so I thought I would try and

push a few bounderies . So I asked "Randy could I possibly press you to

do a little artwork for me with the word Bowie in it please, as a centrepiece

for my handbills?".

He said

"Let me get this straight Alan, am I doing this artwork for you for free?"

I said "Yes"..

He said "ive worked for a lot of people who are household names,

but never for free".I said "Randy please I would be very greatful".

He said "Working for free,this is very bad, how the hell did I end up here ?

Ill have to think about it..."

will message to me and yes he came good with a fantastic piece of

artwork that would sit proudly on the front of any Bowie LP.

A really lovely guy. You will have to excuse the state of our music

room we have building work going on here so the house is a bit of a

junk yard. I put that shot in there to just show a bit of what my lifes

hobby has been ive collected records and music memorabilia all of my

life. My collecting is large and I just need to trim it down a bit.

The poster is framed using none reflective glass and acid free materials

and is in excellent condition.

The diementions of the poster are 23 inches x 14 inches.

This style of poster is known as the Boxing Style ie. its not

square. I think this style is much more desirable.

The diementions of the Frame is 30 and1/2 x 19 inches.
