David Bowie ZIGGY STARDUST UK LP 1ST PRESS 1E/1E PLAYS 100% MINT MINUS!!!!

This record has been vacuum machine cleaned and test played in full on quality hi-fi. My grading is based on the UK record collector grading system.  I will gladly combine postage on multiple items so check out my other records. Thanks

Details:- From my own personal collection - David Bowie - The Rise And Fall of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars. This is an original 1972 1st UK pressing with all the 1st press attributes.

  1. Glossy orange RCA labels
  2. Matrix number endings 1E/1E.
  3. Matrix numbers stamped, not etched
  4. Titanic credits on label
  5. Front cover states Victor under the RCA logo, not International
  6. Robert Stace sleeve
  7. No 'Mainman' credits on back of sleeve

This is the original 1972 1st UK pressing on the glossy orange RCA label and comes complete with the original lyrics inner sleeve. The catalogue no. is SF 8287. The sleeve is the original unlaminated Robert Stace issue

Vinyl Condition:- NEAR MINT both in sound quality and visual terms. The record gleams like new with just a few fine hairlines and sleeve storage marks only visible when the record is viewed at an angle under bright light. The record plays with NEAR MINT sound quality, no distortion, no surface noise, there may be the odd dust pop but nothing more. This record has been fully test played before this auction

Sleeve Condition:- VG+. A mild crease across the middle. A very light impression of the record rim in the upper portion. Very light wear on the top and bottom edges. All this is very mild. The printed sleeve is VG with light creases and some ink marks on one side. See photo above

Label Condition:- NEAR MINT. No wear to spindle hole and very difficult to spot any spindle marks at all.

This record seldom comes up for sale. Don't miss your chance!

I always reduce postage on multiple items. Each additional item will only be charged 50% the original postage cost worldwide.  Check out my other rare UK prog + psych vinyls!

ALL MY ITEMS ARE REFUNDABLE ON RETURN IF YOU ARE NOT ENTIRELY HAPPY WITH YOUR ITEM

Grading below is as stated from UK Record Collector. I also use +/- for records that fall somewhere between a grade

Mint (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G)

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P)

The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad (B)

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

CD’s and CASSETTES

As a general rule CD’s and Cassettes either play perfectly – in which case they are in Mint condition – or they don’t, in which case their value is minimal. Cassette tape is liable to deteriorate with age, even if it remains unplayed, so care should be taken when buying old tapes. CD’s are difficult to grade visually; they can look perfect but actually be faulty, while in other cases they may appear damaged but still play perfectly. Cassette and CD inlays and booklets should be graded in the same way as record covers and sleeves. In general, the plastic containers for cassettes and CDs can easily be replaces if they are broken or scratched, but card covers and digipaks are subject to the same wear as record sleeves.
