I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
All records are sent out in plastic covers.

ZIGGY STARDUST AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS.
ORIGINAL GERMAN 1972 LP WITH LAMINATED GATEFOLD COVER.
This is a decent example that is not often seen in the UK.
This original German pressing sounds for me better than the UK 1st pressing that can play with much noise!
Original Teldec rim pressing with correct matrix numbers as seeN below.

The Cover / VG+ condition. A decent clean example with some normal age storage wear. I graded as VG+ due to the cover being a little baggy, I think it may of got a little damp from storage over the years. This is NOT bad water damage! The lamination looks clean and nice. The inside of the cover has a tiny surface tear at the bottom. This is a strong VG+ condition.
The Record / VG+ condition. A clean example that plays great. Just some light surface wear only under halogen bulb with a small tiny mark on side 2 but this is no big issue. Again this is a strong VG+ condition. The record has a very nice original gloss.
The Labels / EX+ condition. Both labels are in top condition. .................................................................................
I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear. The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.
