Description

DAVID BOWIE.

DIAMOND DOGS

SOUTH AFRICA

ORIGINAL 1974.

Of all the countries around the world that they pressed

David Bowie LPs in, none are harder to find than those

they pressed in South Africa. All the Bowie LPs pressed

in South Africa were pressed by the Teal record company.

Many of the sleeves and lables are totally different to the

rest of the world making them highly prised by the hardest

and most serious Bowie completest collectors.

To get your hands on an original South African pressing is

an extremely rare opportunity not to be missed.

So here is DIAMOND DOGS,South African TEXTURED flip back sleeve.

As you can see there is wring ware a few creases, edware and a little bit of damage

to the Bowie sign on the front . So considering the rarety of this item.

In great condition. The lables are clean and free from any unwanted handwriting.

In fact double click the pictures of the lables, notice that it says Mainman 75%

and Breakaway 25% ? Ive never seen that before on a Bowie record !

The record is in Very Good condition and plays all the way on both

sides without shipping or jumps or sticking. There are some background noises

in the quieter parts but nothing that spoils the enjoyment or this great

and very rare LP.

In 38 years of collecting I have only ever seen 4 copies.

This is one you really don't want to miss!

THIS IS A SERIOUSLY

RARE BOWIE RECORD

AND ONE OF THE FANS FAVORITES.

Postage and packing is

inland £4.50 for First class recorded .

Special delivery is £8.50 inland.

Germany is £12.10 first class tracked and insured.

USA is £15.50 tracked and insured.

The price these ultra rare South African records are at now, and even where

they end up when this auction ends. In no way reflects the true rarity of these

items. THEYARE FOR NOTHING. The lucky winners who win these are

stealing them, FROM YOU. I can not tell you enough, they are so rare and hard to find,

they literally are an unknown quantity.

All my life I have attended record fairs, been pen pals with other Bowie collectors from

all over the world. I bought the very first edition of record collector in 1979 and met

suppliers in the classifieds. Scoured second hand shops always searching for rare records.

In a lifetime of collecting I have only come across these few South African rarities

you see here. When the rest of the Bowie collecting fraternity wakes up to the rarity and

the collectability of these great items and they are great (any textured flip back sleeve is a qualitypiece of craftsmanship and an added feature) their value is certain to soar.

To make a textured sleeve was a skill in the 70s when the world tried to emulate how

England manufactured its records, and its a trade that has died. Replaced by the cheap

rubbish they churned out in the 80s. Another example of technology moving backwards.

Whatever these great items sell for, the winners will be getting them for a bargain

bucket knockdown price.

MARK MY WORDS.

THEY ARE YOUR INVESTMENT.

WIN THEM.

ENJOY THEM.

SIT BACK AND WATCH THEIR VALUES SOAR.

YOU WILL NOT SEE ANOTHER FOR A VERY LONG TIME.
