Description
This is Whitesnake's 1989 album 'Slip of the Tongue' vinyl LP and it is HAND SIGNED on the front cover by David Coverdale of Whitesnake. It's EMI records EMD 1013.
He has signed it 'Cheers - David Coverdale' in silver on the front cover. (As it's silver it's not that easy to photograph - so I've done it at a different angle to avoid flash reflection).
I have also included a DJ-only promotional version called 'Slip of the Tongue - the Wagging Tongue Edition', which is the album but with David Coverdale introducing each track and talking about them. It was not commercially available and was sent to radio stations for publicity purposes. It's EMI Records EMD DJ 1013.
Both covers are in very good condition, as are the inner sleeves. Similarly, I would rate both vinyl records as good/very good condition with no visible marks or scratches. That may even be unplayed - but I can't tell or guarantee.
Please note that I am not a dealer or a record collector. The items I am selling are all from the extensive collection of my late brother.
He was a great music and radio enthusiast, working for both BBC and commercial radio stations in the East Midlands from 1980 until 2013 presenting various music shows, mostly folk and rock.
During this period he interviewed many bands and artists in Nottingham, Derby and Leicester and usually had them sign copies of the albums they were promoting at the time.
He produced and presented the nightly rock show 'Castle Rock' on Radio Trent and regularly interviewed bands. I think he interviewed David Coverdale in Nottingham, either before a gig or on a promotional tour.
He was also sent many promotional, DJ-only and white-label pressings direct from the record companies, hence the promo item too.
Sadly my brother passed away in November 2013, so I am slowly disposing of his extensive record collection.
All vinyl will be sent in special secure mailers with stiffeners.
