DAVID HOLLIS
” AFTER ALL THESE YEARS “
…vinyl LP…
- Original New Zealand release…very rare album, pressed up and distributed by Hollis himself on his own un-named label…all cover art and lettering on lyrics insert by Hollis.
Tracks (all originals) are part Nick Drake, part early Al Stewart, and part Gram Parsons (an odd mix, but pretty accurate). It’s not all acoustic either, there’s some excellent electric cuts as well.
Tracks are:
YOU SAID I LOVE YOU / PHANTOM LOVER / STREETS OF DESIRE / SOUNDS BENEATH THE LEAVES / SONG TO SIDDHARTHA / AFTER ALL THESE YEARS /// RENDEZVOUS / I WANT TO MAKE LOVE LOVING YOU / WHO KNOWS / DEEPENING / TWO A-PENNY BLUES / SAIL CLOUD
has his signature on the back with a note to some people who by the looks of it either had him perform in their home, or maybe he stayed with them? (see pic)
VINYL PRESSING: NZ PRESSING.
LABEL: EMI PRA 907
CAT #: PRA 907 (PRA STANDS FOR PRIVATE RECORDING)
VINYL CONDITION: EX- MIGHT HAVE A FEW PAPER SCUFFS BUT OVERALL NICE. looks HARDLY played, i can see maybe one spindle mark.
COVER CONDITION: EX- REALLY NICE, HAS BEEN KEPT IN PLASTIC COVER ALL THESE YEARS AND FOR A WHITE COVER MADE IN 1979 ITS REALLY NICE, MINIMAL FOXING (ONLY THE TINIEST AMOUNT, AND I DO MEAN TINY) AND THE WHITE IS NICE AND WHITE (NOT GONE YELLOW) HAS ITS ORIGINAL PAPER INNER SLEEVE (NOT PLASTIC) AND THE INSERT IS IN LOVELY CONDITION AS WELL.
HAS HIS SIGNATURE ON THE BACK. (SEE PIC) I DON'T HAVE ANY SORT OF COA OR ANYTHING BECAUSE LETS FACE IT, MOST COA'S ARE JUST RUBBISH BITS OF PAPER MADE UP ON SELLERS HOME COMPUTERS. BUT THINK OF IT THIS WAY, WHY WOULD I LIE? I HAVE NO DOUBT ITS THE REAL THING.
MORE ADDITIONAL INFO: REALLY GREAT ALBUM. I HAVE SEEN ONLY 2 OR 3 OTHER COPIES ON POPSIKE AROUND THE $260 TO $320 PRICE RANGE (AND THE LAST WAS IN 2011 - SO THAT WAS 3 YEARS AGO, SO MY START PRICE IS A STEAL!
I WILL HAVE TO SEND THIS TRACK AND TRACE AND INSURED - FOR YOUR SAFETY AND FOR MINE AND I WILL HAVE TO DECLARE WHAT THE VALUE IS. - SO IF YOU WIN AND ONLY PAY $4 POSTAGE I'LL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO REFUND AND CONTACT EBAY.
PLEASE IGNORE ANY POSSIBLE GLARE IN THE COVER - IT WOULD BE JUST THE CAMERA FLASH.

PLEASE READ THE FINE PRINT BEFORE BIDDING:
GRADING: All vinyl is graded visually - I just don't have time to play all my discs before putting them up for auction however I will try to be tough on the grading, as I would prefer that a buyer was happily surprised, in stead of unhappily disappointed.
NM = Mint. No such thing really, unless its still sealed. Brand new, unplayed.
EX- = Excellent. Looks almost new. Possibly has one to two minors faults, and some evidence of having been played, with no audible defect.
VG+ = Very Good Plus. Has light scuffs and scratches but mostly inaudible. possibly can hear a bit of noise in quiet parts. Records with slight surface noise and/or scuffs fall into this category.
VG = Very Good. Has a bit more wear and tear, surface noise a bit more apparent, but still very listenable. Records in this category have more significant damage or wear.
VG- = More, distracting surface noise. Quite audible but good for singalongs etc ;-) Only used for rarites that you otherwise may not find.
G+ = Good Plus. Not really good, more like a dustbin lid, used really only for rarities and/or label fillers FEEL FREE TO ASK QUESTIONS.
