Description

David Jackman "Ten-Cut" 10" lathe issued by Speed Pig (SP-001) in the Us, 1996. Edition limited to 80 signed and numbered copies. This copy No. 16/80. Saw-tooth shaped record. ****** Rec:ex / Cov:ex ****** David Jackman's more Fluxus-sonic-art realization! Each track is a “sound documentary” featuring David Jackman sawing a length of wood into small blocks which subsequently fall into a bucket of water (although some occasionally miss their target). Crystal-clear individually lathe-cut record shaped as a circular-saw blade. Plain white labels with David Jackman’s signature and record number stamped in black on one side with the other label having a stamped and hand colored pig (smeared to give the impression of speed) and label name/catalogue number stamped in black. Each record is unique in that each one was hand master-cut and hand shaped. This is the vinyl edition of the original limited cassette single "Ten Cut / Seven Cut One Cut". Track titles were omitted from the record version. Recording made on 7th October 1993.
