P.S. 186 DIRECTED BY DAVID McNAIR (SILHOUETTES IN COURAGE – YEAR: 1970 SIL K-5005 “What Freedom Means To Me.” theme selected by this Harlem community school as a total expression of the song selections presented in this album. The album cover: manifests the talents of artist Christine Holman and essayist Faye Greene, first-prize winners of an art and literature contest conducted by Shilhouettes in Courage, Inc., entitled “What Freedom Means To Me.” P.S. 186: group of exciting Fourth and Fifth graders whose exuberant voices carry you from one black idiom to another.
